Desktop metals is a carbon fibers 3D printing company, which make sure that all their products reach engineers and designers. Desktop metal was founded in 2015 by Ric Fulop and other leaders for advanced manufacturing. It was founded to bring innovation in metallurgy and robotics and to address other challenges such as cost, speed and quality to make 3D printing. They provide solutions for every stage of manufacturing process by creating prototype and then creating mass production. In 2017 they start delivering Studio systems to their pioneer customers. Desktop Metal announces Series D follow-on funding, led by Ford and Future Fund, bringing the company’s total funding to date to $277M; Valuation of Desktop metal stands at 1.1 billion USD.
