Job Description

Our client is looking for a Desktop Support Analyst to work 24-28 hrs/wk. Job Skills Working knowledge of Active Directory Working knowledge of DHCP and DNS Server 2012/2016 VMWare and a general understanding of virtual environments Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues Solid understanding of Windows 10 and Mobile devices (i.e. phones, tablets, etc.) Very strong verbal skills. Ability to communicate highly technical information to non-technical users Understanding of cyber security best practices Familiarity with all office product support including Office 365 VOIP Phone system support (Mitel/ShoreTel) Web conferencing support (Starleaf, Zoom, Go-to-meeting, etc.) High volume multi-function printer support General understanding of VPN technologies and principles Responsibilities Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware Manage helpdesk tickets in a timely manner Basic network and Wi-Fi troubleshooting Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software Install, modify and repair computer peripherals (i.e. printers, AV equipment, etc.) Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues Assist in the creation of training and FAQ documentation Primary point of contact for all incoming tickets, escalating to next tier support in a timely manner as needed

TASKS

  • Answer user inquiries regarding computer software or hardware operation to resolve problems.
  • Oversee the daily performance of computer systems.
  • Read technical manuals, confer with users, or conduct computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems or to provide technical assistance and support.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software.
