About Development Assistant

What does a Development Assistant do?

As Development Assistants, we manage the company’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and other social media accounts. We then collect and organize pictures and material for communications and advertisements to create and schedule daily posts. We analyze the efficacy of our social media presence by studying the conversion rate and prepare reports. We collaborate with the development and sales team to support event management, including creating and managing event ticket sales, web pages, promoting events, managing check-in stations. We do basic office support tasks, including placing orders, making copies, filing, ordering office supplies, and maintaining general office organization and cleanliness.

Core tasks:

  • assist in paying bills; processing and filing accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • collect and process credit card receipts and reimbursement requests from all staff
  • support the development team in donor reporting
