About Development Specialist

What does a Development Specialist do?

As Development Specialists, we design and assist in designing, producing, and distributing fundraising materials and case statements. We develop, write, prepare, and disseminate donor correspondence. We also respond to donor inquiries with accurate and timely information to secure donors' gifts and provide donors with relevant materials. We provide financial stewardship and reporting to donors, ensuring appropriate expenditure of donor funds. We also participate in and assists with special events and coordinating event-day logistics, as needed when applicable, meet face-to-face with donors and prospects.

Core tasks:

  • organize and coordinates the activities of volunteers and committees/boards engaged in fundraising activities
  • coordinate and administers the sale of significant establishment's assets, where applicable
  • perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
