As Diagnostic Technicians, we use several types of imaging equipment taking X-rays to perform mammograms, MRIs or CT scans to provide medical practitioners with data they need to diagnose and treat patients. We are required to keep accurate records of data and input it into a data management system and providing data analysis based on the results of the tests. We also work closely with patients, assisting them to get ready for a test explaining how it’s done, asking and answering required questions before diagnosis, and getting them into the required position before the procedure.
