DICK’S Sporting Goods was established in 1948 when an 18-year-old Dick Stack was working at an Army surplus store in Binghamton, New York. Today, this Pittsburgh, PA based firm is a well-known omni-channel sporting goods retailer providing an extensive assortment of authentic, high-quality sports equipment, footwear, accessories, and apparel. DICK’s Sporting Good has operated 720 plus DICK'S Sporting Goods locations across the United States (1st May, 2019), furnishing and inspiring athletes and outdoor enthusiasts to achieve their personal best via a blend of dedicated teammates, in-store services and unique specialty shop-in-shops dedicated to team sports, golf, athletic apparel, lodge/outdoor, fitness and footwear. All the company products are offered through a content-rich eCommerce platform that is integrated with its DICK’s store channel and renders consumers with the convenience and expertise of a 24-hour storefront.
