Position Overview The Director, Commercial Analytics will use analytical, financial and quantitative methods to understand, track and measure customer behavior. This role will be responsible for assembling data, developing reporting, and working with the Prescription BU General Manager and cross-functional teams to create recommendations in support of critical business decisions. Location Fort Worth, TX Duties and Responsibilities Essential Functions: • Operate as Analytics co-pilot for the General Manager of the Prescription Business Unit. • Lead a team of analysts to support with data insights and tools that support business priorities. • Coordinate with all levels of the Sales & Marketing teams as well as vendors to gather, analyze, summarize, prepare and present recommendations and solutions regarding sales results, business plans, trended future requirements and profitability improvement strategies. • Provide insight to Sales & Marketing on industry, market & category trends that will support brand business decisions and direction. • Track and make recommendations on Sales & Marketing programs to include pre- and post-ROI, spend and offer optimization, and targeting based on behavioral segmentation. • Utilize various predictive analytics techniques to analyze historical, current and projected data from a variety of data sources. • Compile, validate, analyze, translate and present performance-tracking and leading indicators of business performance. • Support objectives of all functions to help the organization develop, implement and meet its strategic goals. • Manage and coordinate work with vendors as necessary. • Other duties as assigned. Qualifications • Minimum 12 years of experience analyzing and interpreting large sets of data and drawing conclusions in order to make recommendations. Previous experience in pharmaceutical industry is required, preferably in leading Prescription analytics. • Extensive consulting experience (internal or external) defining business problems, collecting data, establishing facts, and drawing valid conclusions with limited direction. • Expert knowledge of syndicated prescription data, including rebate & payer data • Expert proficiency in following platforms: o Excel – including Solver, Data Analysis & macros o SQL o Tableau, PowerBI and/or Qlik • Intermediate proficiency with at least one statistical tool (R, Python, SAS, etc.) • Extensive experience with digital analytics preferred. • Must be able to organize, prioritize, and work effectively in a constantly evolving work place. • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. • Demonstrate high personal integrity, teamwork abilities, and ability to thrive in fast-paced environment. • Ability to multi-task under pressure. • Ability to read and interpret documents such as company policies, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, financial reports, and legal documents. • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, customers, and/or vendors. • Ability to make written or oral presentations, and respond to common inquiries or complaints. Travel is estimated at 15%. Education Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Mathematics or a related field, required. • Masters degree (MA/MS/MBA) preferred.
