About Director Epidemiology

What does a Director Epidemiology do?

Working as Directors Epidemiology, we provide epidemiological leadership. We oversee all areas of clinical and preclinical development. We support registry and real-world studies with regulatory purposes. We are responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Epidemiology function. We develop activities in the areas of Epidemiology. We are also accountable for the operating performance of the Epidemiology function. We maintain the budget, staffing, and functional deliverables within agreed targets. We serve as a core member of the Analytics and Data Sciences (ADS) Leadership Team. We ensure the performance and career development of Epidemiology associates.

Core tasks:

  • represent Epidemiology at relevant review forums
  • check key business challenges,
  • analyze the long-term impact of new or innovative solutions
  • negotiate and collaborate with internal and external partners
  • ensure maximum utilization of teams of epidemiologists
  • maintain Methodological and Scientific Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that Epidemiology teams follow
  • assist with training for the members of the Epidemiology function
