We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Director, Labor Management with a focus on Clinical Services. The Director of Labor Management will be instrumental in the development, deployment and management of standardized labor targets for the clinical operating departments for the organization. The position will manage the Company’s Laborlytics platform for the Company’s clinical departments, assist in setting specific departmental productivity goals, and direct activities in each market aimed toward meeting those productivity goals. The Director identifies productivity opportunities and communicates recommended solutions appropriately to Corporate, Market and Facility leaders. This position develops company standard processes and utilizes standard tools to ensure consistency across the company; collaborates with facility executives and department managers to continually improve productivity results; and participates in the annual budget process and implements productivity changes as needed. The Director will also be responsible for the development of corporate policy and procedures, continuous clinical productivity monitoring and reporting, and promoting teamwork to maximize operational efficiencies. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manages Laborlytics for clinical departments in each market and facilitates department level training. Implements standardized labor targets for common clinical departments across the organization. Identifies productivity opportunities and recommends solutions to the appropriate facility and market leaders. Provides input on the utilization of web-based applications used to capture and report statistical values used for managing labor costs based on units of service. Maintains associated infrastructure to ensure that accurate and current data is available in productivity based tools. Continuously monitors productivity performance using recognized tools and software. Develops, oversees, and improves daily operations, policies, systems and procedures necessary to support cost reduction and system utilization goals. Assists in the development of position requisition process. Researches and transfers best practices to support performance improvement projects and renders reports based on research and analysis. Directs standardization of operational policies and procedures across markets as appropriate. Utilizes comparative data to target performance improvement opportunities. Ensures the delivery of consistent and accurate management reporting to accelerate decision making. Participates in facility and market budget planning. Serve as resource for productivity standard development for clinical departments. Provide weekly and monthly status updates on productivity performance across the markets. Primary contact for facilities on labor related activities within clinical operating departments. QUALIFICATIONS Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree required Coursework/experience in labor and productivity management preferred Master's degree a plus Work Experience: Requires five (5) years of direct experience in acute healthcare managerial role Labor and productivity management experience Additional Requirements: Proficient in a Productivity Reporting Tool, Excel, Word, PowerPoint software required. Experience with Kronos, Lawson and Essbase a plus. Must have strong analytical, time management, and verbal and written communication skills. Ability to prioritize work with minimal supervision, manage multiple projects, work under pressure and tight deadlines, and change focus/direction as the need arises. Attention to detail is imperative.
