About Director of Annual Giving

What does a Director of Annual Giving do?

As directors of annual giving, we are in charge of the annual giving program and special events management, and execution. We are responsible for growing membership numbers, as well as renewing and upgrading member funding. We strengthen established partnerships with members who aren't big donors. Our job is to work with the executive director to develop long-term objectives and goals and prepare the annual budget. Along with all these roles, we also handle the guest list and event decor.

Core tasks:

  • meeting yearly gift objectives for benefactors
  • guaranteeing appropriate contributor acknowledgment and stewardship
  • investigating singular giver and prospect data
  • creating methodologies for new donor procurement and development
