About Director of Asset Management

What does a Director of Asset Management do?

As the Directors of Asset Management, we lead the implementation and execution of strategies. We oversee multi-family, development, and asset-management properties. Ensuring achievement of the financial and operating goals is our duty. We participate and assist in formulating the annual business plan for asset management. We develop the annual capital and operating budgets. Formulating strategies that drive operations and the financial performance of the portfolio is our responsibility. We review and report on monthly operating and income statements. It is our job to manage and monitor cash flow. Our duties also include preparing monthly and quarterly client portfolios and performance reports.

Core tasks:

  • interact with the third-party property management firms
  • monitor the daily operation of the portfolio
  • conduct routine site visits and inspections
  • review weekly leasing, occupancy, and revenue reports
  • address policies, procedures, and compliance issues
  • develop strategies and programs that maximize the performance of the portfolio
  • develop and provide reports to the investment principals
