Optaros by MRM//McCann, a strategic, creative, e-commerce implementation agency with a focus on the omnichannel customer experience, is looking for a Business Development Director to work out of our NYC office. As the Business Development Director, you will have three main objectives:
  • Revenue generation through net new business, hitting an annual revenue target
  • Contribute to pipeline growth by supporting marketing, conferences, and outreach
  • Support continued relationships with our platforms, Magento, Hybris, and Salesforce
As a part of Optaros’ leadership team, you will be based out of the MRM//McCann office in Midtown East and enjoy a work environment that provides a balance of collaboration and independence.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead end to end pitches, with support from the Senior Leadership Team
  • Follow the established 5D process and protocol
  • Dissect RFI’s/RFP’s to distill critical information
  • Qualify opportunities in order to increase probability of a win
  • Draft biz dev briefs to direct the team regarding objectives, approach, strategy, win themes, and timing
  • Collaborate with the Optaros Senior Leadership Team (SLT) to request/staff a pitch team
  • Oversee proposal / pitch materials, timing, and quality
  • Work with Client Services and the Delivery team to hand off wins
  • Conduct post mortems and lessons learned on wins and losses
  • Master Optaros and McCann Worldgroup offerings and case studies
  • Maintain pipeline and forecast on a weekly basis using Salesforce
  • Hit annual revenue target
  • Participate in weekly Biz Dev calls, providing status and sales strategies
  • Attend key conferences and support the coordination of booths/events
Experience & Skills Required:
  • 2-4 years of sales experience
  • Sales experience at a platform or technology company preferred
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills centered around communication (both verbal and written), teamwork facilitation and alignment, mediation, and negotiation
  • Excellent presentation skills and communication abilities at all levels of both internal and external organizations
