About Director of Engineering

What does a Director of Engineering do?

As Directors of Engineering, we are responsible for leading the engineering department of an organization. We hire and train new members to manage tech projects and prepare the budget of the team. We play a strategic and technical role in a company; set goals for the team and prioritize projects. Managing engineering projects end-to-end and coordinating internal teams, including security and developers is part of our daily responsibilities. We implement new systems and monitor front and back-end development teams and their projects. Working as Directors of Engineering, we monitor the reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements. We also ensure compliance with the security regulations of an organization.
