Job Description

Summary Job Purpose:

Develop & retain customer base by way of personal interaction on the casino floor, casino events, telemarketing and written correspondence. Work on all special events to ensure profitability and success. Develop and maintain administrative criteria to monitor host productivity. Develop and maintain commission Rep program.

Education:

Any combination of education, training, or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses / Certificates:

Ability to obtain/renew all government required licenses or certification.

Basic Competencies and Abilities:

Ability to act independently while drawing conclusions from written and computer generated materials.

Ability to operate personal computer (to access & input information using Microsoft Excel & Word, CMS, e-mail, et. al.), photocopier, calculator etc., in order to perform job functions and assist guests.

Ability to provide clear direction, instruction and guidance to guests. Must be able to listen and respond to guest and team member inquiries in a positive and professional manner.

Ability to collect information and solve guest concerns promptly and efficiently.

Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language in order to complete reports, correspondence and communicate with guests and supervisors.

Ability to work in a smoke filled environment.

Ability to remain alert throughout the duration of the shift and remain calm during emergency situations.

Knowledge of basic math needed to calculate comps., complete reports, etc.

Ability to organize and prioritize work and meet deadlines.

Ability to operate multi-line telephones to conduct Hotel business.

Ability to comprehend and follow supervisor's instructions.

Ability to maintain attendance in conformance with Hotel standards.

Ability to maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance.

Ability to work with interruptions.


Essential Job Functions:

Listen and respond to guest inquiries using a positive, clear speaking voice. Troubleshoot guest's concerns regarding data entered into our tracking system, Answer questions and offer assistance to provide guest satisfaction. Relay accurate information to guests regarding hours of operation, Hotel services, directions to local attractions or function rooms, car rentals, airline shuttle service, etc.

Walk the casino floor to meet and greet new and established guests.

Mentor Casino Hosts to meet all established productivity srandards.

Make room reservations, arrange for amenities and welcome packets for casino guests. Block rooms off for "high-roller" guests.

Complete weekly reports and complete all necessary paperwork. (i.e. comp slips, reservation requests, etc.)

Help set-up and run all Casino events and special promotions within department.

Help Slot Hosts make comp decisions based on customer standing.

Answer calls and process requests from guests. Make, return and follow up on calls to maintain proper communication with guests, and departmental staff.

Make constant contact with both internal and external customers to provide optimal guest service. This includes contact with various hotel departments in an effort to provide/obtain pertinent information needed to ensure proper guest service is provided.

Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, walk/stand for duration of shift, walking 2-4 miles during an 8-hour shift.

Lift, grasp, or otherwise carry items and material weighing up to 20 lbs.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules that reflect the business needs of the Hotel.

Comply with hotel rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of Hotel facilities.


Periodic Job Functions:

In addition to performance of essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of supportive functions to be determined by the supervisor based upon the particular needs of the Hotel.

Attend and participate in meetings in order to be informed of new rules, regulations and procedures and to discuss scheduling and/or other concerns of the Hotel and/or department.

Drive, or otherwise operate, vehicles expressly used for company business (i.e. golf carts during golf tournaments).

Walk with and interact with VIP guests at off property events (sometimes on uneven ground, such as a golf course), ensuring that guest' concerns are properly addressed.


Safety & Regulations:

Provide a safe environment for customers and employees. Report emergencies to proper authorities.

Report all suspicious persons or activities and hazardous conditions to supervisor, security, or safety personnel.

Provide instruction and/or guidance for guest/employee safety in fire/emergency situations.

Abide by all State, federal and corporate liquor regulations pertaining to alcoholic beverage service to minors and intoxicated guests.

Abide by all State and corporate regulations pertaining to the presence of minors in gaming areas
