Job Description

The Director of Talent Acquisition is responsible for executing and achieving results for UnityPoint Healths Talent Acquisition strategy. This is a new role for the organization and the incumbent is responsible for consolidating existing talent acquisition team members to form a new COE. Talent Acquisition is part of the Talent Management and Organization Development team and will work in partnership to design and execute an end-to-end talent strategy for the organization. The Director role leads a team of professionals responsible for providing high quality, value-added levels of service including full-cycle talent acquisition for positions across multiple regions/business units and proactively creates talent pipeline strategies, while managing multiple projects. This position is both strategic and hands-on and brings creativity and thought leadership to developing the right talent acquisition solutions to support our strategic people initiatives. Management Operations Provides expertise in specific areas of talent acquisition including, but not limited to: high volume recruiting for difficult to place roles, workforce planning, employment branding, sourcing, process improvement, and technology enhancement. Oversees a team of talent acquisition leaders. Responsible for hiring, disciplinary actions, and performance evaluations for all assigned direct reports. Meet and consult with internal partners to understand their workforce needs and priorities; source and deliver talent necessary to achieve business outcomes. Oversees System level process supporting full life cycle recruitment: networking, sourcing, pre-screening, preliminary interviewing, negotiating offers, conducting background searches and onboarding new team members. Educates internal partners on leading practices in sourcing, legal requirements, interviewing skills, developmental programs and other related topics. Oversees the implementation and administration of applicant tracking and onboarding technologies. Improve hiring manager and candidate experience and process satisfaction throughout recruitment and onboarding cycle. Deploy and manage relationships with external partners for recruitment activities. Strategic Planning & Delivery Provide input into and execute on the organizations talent acquisition strategy. Leads the process to standardize talent acquisition roles, responsibilities, and processes. Aligns the team to achieve consistent performance expectations. Continuous improvement of talent acquisition strategy using data analytics, industry research, and business input. Ensures alignment of functional talent acquisition strategy with people strategy from the business. Creates and monitors talent acquisition performance metrics. Brings new ideas to the talent sourcing process, instituting new ways to drive talent identification and networking, creating new mechanisms to build talent pipelines, and structuring a talent sourcing framework and multi-year sourcing strategies. Partner with Marketing and Communications to ensure a sound digital and brand strategy. Education : Bachelors degree with emphasis in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business, or Health Administration. Masters degree in Business, Human Resources or related field or equivalent preferred. Professional HR/TA certifications preferred (SHRM Strategic Talent Acquisition Certification or Specialty Credential or Professional Recruiter Certification), PHR/SPHR certification preferred, Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) certification preferred, LEAN certification preferred. Experience : 8-10 years of talent acquisition experience, 5 years managing people leaders and leading human resources teams, and experience with human resources technology, managing recruitment process (partners, and creating talent acquisition related strategies. Skills : The ideal candidate must have a background which combines exceptional technical knowledge and outstanding relationship skills. The successful candidate will bring a strategic perspective as well as the ability to be hands on and operational. Extensive knowledge of all aspects of the recruitment process and talent pipelines. Strong analytical problem solving, influencing, communications, leadership, and relationship building skills required. Skill in understanding the industry, competition, and expected future developments and challenges, the business''s competitive strengths and weaknesses, opportunities to grow the business and reduce operating costs; and awareness of the environment for opportunities. Ability to foster innovative approaches, think strategically, and adapt to change. Extensive knowledge of employment and labor laws. Experience with SEP, social media tools, CRM, and ATS.
