Director, Program ManagementJob Description Summary
With account and/or client leadership, ensure that all Operational Readiness & Transitions Program Management deliverables are met, including SLA and KPI requirements for site construction projects transitioning to facility operations. Assist in defining immediate and long-term client support concerning amounts and types of spaces that are required over time and a strategy for achieving these objectives in a cost-effective and accelerated manner. Works closely with operational departments and the construction teams to provide detailed progress reports to senior management.Job Description
Ability to work in a fast-paced corporate facility construction environment.
Ability to perform interdepartmental and intradepartmental work to ensure proper coordination occurs between construction and facility operations
Ability to drive successful building activations through proactive and planned processes and procedures
Direct the overall development of new program activities and the activities of all current projects within an assigned program initiative or geographic region.
Work closely with the Director of Operational Readiness & Transitions with regard to ensuring flawless transitions between construction projects and day to day operations, proper staffing, and maintaining proper client relationships.
Prepare project reports illustrating conclusions and recommendations and conduct meetings with owners and project team members to resolve issues during the project design development stages.
Synchronize, orchestrate and provide guidance to operational teams throughout the lifecycle of a project to ensure a successful First Day of Business
Participate in structuring the selection of professional partners and advise on final recommendations. Evaluate existing and proposed project sites and facilities with respect to program requirements.
Ensure the resolution of programming issues through project completion.
Ability to create defined Standard Operating Procedures around program deliverables and initiatives. Develop and document building playbooks to support business line teams including but not limited to Occupancy Planning, Project Management and Integrated Facility Management.
Work in an autonomous role contributing to team collaboration and partnership to ensure a successful program outcome. Obtain buy in for organizational changes, team commitments, and expenditures in excess of approved budget.
Advise members of the project team with respect to base building, interior and exterior project management needs. Evaluate and critique the progress of design development, project scope, budget and schedule from a client point of view recognizing that base building and interiors issues overlap and are part of an integrated system
Maintain high qualitative and quantitative standards of work performance. Work with multiple business lines, with the approval of appropriate supervisors; delegate to each necessary authority and responsibility for performance of assigned functions.
Define success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project and program life cycle. Identify and develop trusted adviser relationships with project and program stakeholders. Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project and program team. Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods and best practices.
Extensive understanding of project and program management principles, methods and techniques.
Observe corporate policies and procedures.
Degree in Construction Management or a related field required or equivalent industry experience
Minimum of 7 years related experience in project/program management role with direct responsibility for project budget, scope and schedule
Knowledge of construction, facility operations, and building activations
Possess a general understanding for facilities programming of industry standards, building systems, base building construction, corporate management, urban planning, architecture, interior design, office technology, and environmental factors required
Ability to read and understand construction specifications and blueprints
Proven leadership ability
Strong proficiency with Google Suites and MS Office Suite (MS Word, Microsoft Project, Excel and PowerPoint)
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. May be required to travel outside between properties in varying weather conditions. Will require frequent visits to active construction sites.
