About Director Provider Relations

What does a Director Provider Relations do?

As Directors of Provider Relations, we are responsible for the management and retention of all aspects of the provider network. We engage with clients, third parties, regulatory entities, vendors, and others. We are responsible for provider contracting initiatives and provider problem-solving. We track the network to ensure fulfillment of financial, quality, and access standards. We are responsible for measuring provider satisfaction. We work with other internal company entities. We negotiate provider agreements. We manage the overall network to ensure it meets access and regulatory requirements. We develop and provide appropriate network management and analysis reports. We oversee the development and implementation of provider educational materials.

Core tasks:

  • plan and put in place periodic provider orientations as needed
  • interact with Sales staff, understanding the network needs
  • recommends and implements plans to secure network needs
  • develop business-related and network activity reports as requested
  • develop and maintain effective relationships with internal resources
