Disney Publishing Worldwide, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Glendale, California, is a publishing agency and a subsidiary of Disney Parks, Experiences, and products. Its imprints consist of Disney Editions, Press, Kingswell, and Hyperion Books for children. The agency has centers in Glendale and Milan, Italy. In 2001, Disney Publishing Worldwide published its first original comic book which was later adapted into an animated series. Disney Publishing Worldwide announced a licensing agreement with a division of Walt Disney Company from India in 2009.
