Role Summary:
The Distribution Associate executes the receiving, storing, picking, staging and distribution of materials required for assembly/manufacture of product.
Essential Responsibilities:
Perform physical movement of materials from one area to another using handcarts or fork lifts
Picks parts/products for shipments ensuring accuracy of identification and quantity
Physically and systemically receive/issue individual material requisitions from internal and external departments
Create and/or maintain transaction inventory records
Maintain accurate files of packing and shipping activity
Communicate/notify appropriate personnel of shipping/inventory discrepancies
Fill kits and deliver to production as required
Maintain stocking/inventory objectives
Quantifies and verifies cycle count
Comply with EHS & Quality System regulations and policies
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned Quality Specific Goals:
Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concession, Defect Awareness, ESD, Non-conforming Material, Material Identification/Segregation and Good Documentation Practices procedures as associated with this job type/position.
Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations as they apply to this job type/position
Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines
Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
Candidates
should note that this role will be in scope for the proposed transition of GE
Biopharma to Danaher and will transfer to Danaher at close of this
transaction.
Qualifications/Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
High school Diploma or local equivalent
Demonstrated ability to communicate (read, write, and speak) in English
Must be capable of passing Department of Transportation's Health Exam to operate company vehicle routing materials to and from company and outside warehouses.
Proficient in basic mathematics
Ability to communicate well and work with others
Basic computer skills
Ability to consistently lift up to 75 pounds
Capable of working in extreme cold conditions(-20 c or -4 f) on a regular basis
Ability to utilize automated lifting equipment - have forklift certification or ability to become certified
Desired Characteristics:
2+ years experience in storing and material handling
Previous experience with Oracle and Master Control
Knowledge of computerized material flow methods
Basic knowledge of quality and inventory control
Prior experience using a forklift and weight scales
