Dollar Tree Stores Company Reviews and Ratings
District Manager
October 24, 2024
I was told by Zone HR Manager that even though I was most qualified person in the Region, I could not be promoted from DM to Regional Director because I did not have a college degree. I had over 40 years experience and. Had been a RD with Dollar General.
The RD that they hired outside the company was racist. I should have sued DT due to this and the fact I was harassed due to how many years I had been with Dollar Tree. 15+ years.
Pros and Cons
I enjoyed the team of Store Managers I had and developed Store Managers to District Manager 4 times.
Racist and against older people with experience and no college degree.

If you want to feel under appreciated , overworked , and feel worthless , this is the place for you ! Management has no clue. In the store and district. Did you get any training. Ha!! They are nasty to customers and to the workers!! You feel as though this is a full time job with full benefits , the way they treat you.
Pros and Cons
Lots of nice customers and great merchandise
Too many to mention !!

I loved working at dollar tree but the salary for an experienced cashier should be more. I had to quit cuz my manager agreed to me working days and she started me working days. This was days after moving here and telling her that i couldn't work nights cuz my other half is physically dying and i needed to be home in the evenings
Pros and Cons
Friendly, always clean
Not having a boss that's suppose to understand

Customer Clerk
Chicago, IL - April 1, 2021
Overall I didn't have a bad experience, but it was a stressful job. Depending on size, stores usually have 1 or 2 front clerks & a manager. First and foremost the Clerk is responsible for cashier duties, and in between customers - stock the shelves, displays, put away all items left out / misplaced by customers and closing includes taking out all trash, clean all registers, clean & restock restrooms gather shopping carts & baskets then sweep floors nightly. Mop once a week. Stores may differ, ours was very busy. Store is opened every day except Christmas. I was payed minimum wage.
Pros and Cons
Fun co-workers, really good store manager
very stressful, work all holidays, late hours, low pay
