Stocker,.unloading boxes to put on shelves throughout the week. Hourly pay is not so good. Keeps you very busy throughout the day. Have to have box cutter at all time. Customers can be very disrespectful at times. Other then that great place to work. Depending on which store u work at cause the manager's are super cool. I loved the location cause it was 10 minute walk.

Did not care about their Employees left the company due to being robbed and being told by the district manager and Drees at the traumatic experience, wasn’t worth them paying for my psychological reviews with a doctor they provided, even though the doctor told him that she felt I needed more sessions

I personally really enjoyed working as a Sales floor Associate (Stocking of shelves, Cashiering) because at the time of my employment at Dollar Tree, at the location of my employment I was still fairly new to the location. So everything was still fresh to me. Learned a lot about work experience, made a fair amount of money on my paychecks, as well as met a lot of Orderly and Polite people while interacting with Staff as well as Customers as well. This job is recommended by me to anyone and everyone willing to work for money.

It was a nice place to work. It was easy to work your way up in the company as long as you strived and worked hard for it.

Nice, friendly and easy environment once you learned your duties. You get to meet a lot of the costumers.

They helped me develop my speed and focus on stocking and managing unloading truck loads. I’ve learn to work with a team and display support.

If you have a medical emergency or just a personal/family emergency. They try their best to cover for you. Just don’t make a habit from it. I noticed another employee that was starting to make a habit of that and I was glad it wasn’t my radar.

Pros: Job was pretty chill. This would be a perfect starter job or if you wanna build your resume. flexible. Cons: under paid and over worked. Everyone thinks it’s not that hard working there or it’s easy because it’s “Dollar Tree” until you’re completing tasks that should’ve been done first shift plus yours and cleaning up after second shift. On top of taking care of customers and answering inquiries. Also the schedules are shit. It’s either scatter days making it impossible to go on a trip if you wanted to or it’s back to back, ex. Saturday,Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday. Like whyyyy????? And they’re able to get away with it since Sunday is the start of a new pay week. There is also no employee recognition of any kind and unfair treatment. The managers show favoritism to who they like more not who’s working the hardest. There was a girl who had been working there almost 3 years and I did more in 6 months than she did in 3 years. I could go on and on but I’ll cap it here

Me and the initial interviewer had a very nice and pleasant conversation. The next day I spoke to a woman named Yolanda who from the very start had such a poor attitude when I gave her my information, asked me for my name 3 different times on the span of 5 minutes. They didn't even have me on the list for the tour I was told to come to just the day before. she was extremely rude told me to wait while she looked for my application and didnt come back for quite some time,so i asked someone else to explain to me whats going on. Yolanda then came back to the front desk looked me square in my face and said " can i help you?" as if she didnt just ask me for my name 3 times 20 minutes before and knew i was there for a tour that their employees told me to come to less than 24 hours before. Instead of owning up to their own mistakes, and clearly losing my application, they made me out to be the problem and nobody seemed to even know the person who interviewed me initially

A lot of sarcasm for work. Not enough discipline for people that are late. Has too many errors to dollar tree app.

Just worked a month there to setup the new store when it opens up stocking merchandise on the store floor and getting it ready for business

Was going through a miscarriage and was still forced to work and when I couldn't cuz of my miscarriage I was written up and terminated even though I called in ans the store manager knew what I was going through and still did that to me

Initially, I had a regular schedule I could work around and the manager respected that I would not work Sundays. The busy manager trained me well and was patient. She quit because of not enough management support and trouble with customers and too much mayhem. The new manager just put me on the schedule for Sunday without asking me. She then reduced my hours and kept jerking my schedule around, which the former manager said isn't necessary for stockers

Pay is not what an assistant store manager nor a store manager should be getting. For the responsibilities that are put on management they deserve better pay. The employees don’t get discounts even while on the clock.

I loved my job working at dollar tree but when the program that got me the job went under i lost my job but i would love to work there again if given the chance i would take it in a heart beat

I Just love working with customers and showing them where products are. And not just telling them. Like they already know. You have to remember your a customer as well there and other places. Treat anyone as such, when your showing them. They really need to update all the computer systems at all Dollar tree stores because they are constantly freezing up and we have to restart them or the screen sensors aren't working well.

I worked at Dollar Tree and I found it fun. There was constantly new merchandise coming in and we all shared responsibility restocking our store.

Enjoyed working with one manager in particular and he was flexible with the schedule and whenever one needed off.

I started working for dollar tree company in Georgia, I was given the opportunity to learn and grow, and from there continued working in dollar tree in florida for 2 different stores, with a wonderful boss and creative staff, we make our jobs what we want it to be, never a dull moment.

When I started working at Dollar Tree, I had a regular schedule and I did okay with guidance from the manager who hired me. The new manager was overly demanding. I had told the original manager that I can't work on Sundays but she scheduled me for Sundays anyway. I informed her of the agreement and didn't work Sundays. She cut back my hours and kept changing my schedule, although the other manager kept me on a regular schedule, because she said it doesn't matter because it's stocking.

I need more hours and I like who I worked with. They had a friendly staff and always welcome everyone as family.

I was welcomed and helped every step of the way. At this particular location the team was amazing.

Cashiers have so much to do like customer service during the rate hick the cashier had to deal with all the complaints of the customers. They didn’t. All the work they expect from 1 cashier for a 4 hrs shift at night has drink machines all go backs from the intire day straighten paper food and candy oh don’t forget we also have stock to do plus sweeping vacuuming trash office trash mop where you canThats what the DM expects!! I’m not a witch I have no powers and I tried my best to do it all in 4 hrs plus don’t forget I also am the only cashier

Nothing we ever good enough for here and she never said thanks or your doing good and I was always well you can fix this and stuff like that and she made up her own rules and the God mad cuz we would get behind be cause she ran all the cashier's off that's why we had such a high turn over rate

I can't speak for all dollar trees because I only worked in one. But the manager wasn't so nice. They gave you hours they didn't want. They sent you to do things out of your area. The cashiers and stockers were great and always helpful.

Dollar Trees are fun crafty places to collect and to gather essential items for the family as well as friends

Checked sales floor stock levels on a regular basis to ensure that backstock merchandise was replenished before it ran out. Inspected them for cleanliness and obstacles and removed cartons and boxes to keep work areas organized and hazard-free. Inspected supplies and product inventory for quality and quantity issues, returning unacceptable materials to vendors for replacements or refunds. Used RF scanners to track merchandise and double-check container contents

A better thing to explain in person. My store manager had step over boundaries many times and then also has promised things then later has taken back and told me she never said what she did and works her employees way to hard. On her management team

Manager and coworkers all got along,unloading the truck was fun cause we can listening to music and conversate about life,sports what every was going on in the world.Stocking shelves was easy and fun to do reorganizing shelves building new ones for new merchandise

I hated it there the district manager has no respect for anybody. It is draining at that store. I dreaded going to work. But I knew I had to go so I could make money to support my daughter.

At the Lakewood and Sheridan store location our main clientele were Vietnamese I enjoyed it very nice people the manager on the other hand could have been better at her job around the store differently kept it clean but I did the best I could on my part to do that

I unloaded trucks of inventory and stock them on the sales floor it was a good team effort we all worked together in a professional way and helped customer's as needed it a professional and polite and curious way

Co-workers and immediate Managers were AWESOME to work with. D.M. however was not. You could not count on him for anything. Would leave you high and dry then throw you under the bus for his lack of help and support. I doubt all D.M.s are like he is.

If you don't have a family this is a job for single people because they take so much of your time and especially if someone calls off you'll be even longer

I worked at Dollar Tree for around 8 months, and I can honestly say that it was one of the worst work environments I've ever experienced. Between miserable coworkers and getting scolded for taking a bathroom break I was the happiest working there when I quit. I remember my manager ordering pizza during one of my shifts and calling every single person to the back for a slice besides me. It was embarrassing, humiliating, and honestly just horrible.

Easy job, good co-workers, very little pay. They don't like to hire full time people so paychecks are not very good.

This is a multi billion dollar company, they pay their staff like they're just starting out in business. AWFUL pay!!! Stores are run down & filthy. No room for growth in the company, not that the pay would go up much anyway.

Working in retail during the holiday's can be strenuous. With prices at the dollar tree they have all of your holiday and party decor on a budget. It was a fun work environment and customers were tolerable but there was no team orientation and no expectations.

I had a awesome boss I worked there for a couple months and was going thru something and he was very supportive and understanding. But I will say it was probably the most boring job I ever had the benefits are great after you been there so long but if you have a lot of energy and like to move around and talk to people your pretty stationary behind the register all day hearing beep beep beep beep so it just wasn't for me.

I worked for dollar tree in sturgeon bay and I loved it I was there everyday and we didn’t have enough people so I literally worked everyday

I loved the job, my customers and employees, but management only cares about the profit, nothing else. It's a shame. The turnaround of employees is so nominal due to negative management. They loose a lot of good employees and don't even seem to care. What a shame.

They promote sexual harassment offenders and run off the people that have been harassed. They do nothing but knit pick everything until you give up.

Its all heavy lifting and stocking as an assistant manager, organizing and completing deposits. Very minimal customer service

A very good place to work. Great Management. Great customers. Friendly employees. Great parking. Good view of the beach.

They work you to death, pay next to nothing, and dont give any kind of recognition. Getting ahold of the corporate office is impossible, even if the managers have an issue.

revolving door for employees. No stockers so management has to unload u-boats. With no one to work the floor, stocking the shelves and be daunting, to say the least

Dollar tree was or started out as a seasonal job very fun and laid back pretty much I visit the store every day so I wind up playing and that was a very good move because the job did not feel like a job it was something that I eventually love to do. Due to the covid pandemic my job was cut short and I moved to Denver to start over but the times I was able to work before the pandemic was awesome no complaints work was available not too stressful great environment especially for older young adults. Dollar tree also offers growth potential.
