About Donor Relations Officer

What does a Donor Relations Officer do?

As donor relations officers, we build and maintain productive and professional working relationships with co-workers, university partners, sponsors, and other external contacts. We support the foundation’s overall fundraising efforts to prepare and execute stewardship and donor relations activities. As donor relation officers, we handle all the paperwork of clients and ensure their confidentiality. We are responsible for reporting to donors the effect of their donations through fund reports and scholarship programs through detailed and coordinated stewardship reporting.

Core tasks:

  • reporting on the analysis, writing, and development of project wrap-up reports
  • producing stewardship materials and organizing their production
  • creating and implementing a program to disseminate scholarship reporting
