Dow Chemical Company - a subsidiary of Dow Inc is an American multinational chemical corporation established by Herbert Henry Dow in 1897 with its headquarters based in Midland, Michigan, United States. It is among the three supreme chemical producers in the world and manufactures plastics, chemicals, and agricultural products and it is also a fundamental producer of ethylene oxide, several acrylates, surfactants, and cellulose resins. The company employs about 54,000 people worldwide with its presence in about 160 countries along with that it furnished many war materials the United States had initially imported from Germany during World War I and produced magnesium for incendiary flares, mono-chlorobenzene and phenol for explosives, and bromine for medicines and tear gas. Dow declared the Dow Lab Safety Academy on May 20, 2013 which is a website that includes a large collection of informational videos and resources that demonstrates supreme practices in laboratory safety.
