Worked continuous shift work for the chance to work on once in a lifetime projects. Completed a flare design project with multiple restriction orifices to install a new flare tip.

I work shift work since February 1987 to October 23. met lots of nice people, and learned a lot of things from them and taught others also .

I worked as a rep. for a other company. Must saw DOW employees treated you as one of their own. Respecr, value your opinion and input.

I worked at Dow ten years. I was happy working there. I went through a divorce. I missed a great deal of work going to and from court. In the process of that, my hours worked were being automatically installed for my standard work week. I informed my supervisor of this, corrections were made to my time sheet; everything seemed fine. This divorce drug out for over two years. I was informed by my supervisor, that I had possibly been paid for time not worked. I informed my supervisor that if there's a discrepancy, please take it from my vacation, or deduct it from my next check. I was told that it doesn't work that way. That there would have to be an investigation to see if there really was a mistake. I was also told that I was still employed, but I would be off work without pay, pending the investigation. This investigation went on for over a year. So I took another job as Service Manager at Brookside Equipment for John Deer. The investigation never ended. I had to work.

Was an apprentice Electrical/ Instrumentation tech for almost 3 years. Dow payed for school and got me in the industry which I’m thankful for. But the working environment was terrible. Great training but no long term future

Unceremoniously dismissed from the workforce along with 5,000 others when the economy tanked. They never re-hire previous employees.
