About This Role:

The Driver delivers product and material to buildings across the organization and updates computerized transportation database with each delivery.

Essential Job Functions/Tasks:1. Using company vehicle, picks up and delivers product and material throughout the campus. Adheres to set pick-up schedule. 2. Documents completed deliveries at each delivery point and closes out orders in the database. 3. On a daily basis, maintains cleanliness of company vehicle and documents potential safety issues (i.e. low oil, tire damage, electrical malfunctions, etc). 4. Completes itemized delivery logs. 5. Operates forklift to pick up and deliver pallets to locations throughout the campus. 6. May receive resin material purchase orders into inventory using JD Edwards Enterprise One. 7. May work with Quality Control to ensure incoming goods and purchased production material are qualified before being released for sale or use in manufacturing. Other job functions: Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position. Experience Required:Minimum two years of experience operating a vehicle. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's):KSA #1: Verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to comprehend work instructions. KSA #2: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with members across the organization. KSA #3: Ability to work within a team environment and demonstrate professional behavior. KSA #4: Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. KSA #5: Ability to perform data entry, view electronic procedures, and complete training courses using computers. KSA #6: Understanding of machines and tools, including their uses and maintenance. KSA #7: Ability to use either control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines and processes. KSA #8: Ability to conduct tests and inspections of products, services, and processes to evaluate quality and performance. KSA #9: Ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical and statistical calculations and to use a weight counting scale. KSA #10: Demonstrated ability to operate electric pallet jacks, stand up and sit down forklifts as determined by successful completion of in-house training. KSA #11: Must have a valid driver’s license. Must have good outstanding driving record. KSA #12: May be required to operate a vehicle with manual transmission. Physical Demands:Ability to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Ability to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. Ability to sit and climb or balance. Ability to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Work Environment:Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors and fumes or airborne particles. Frequently exposed to vibration. Occasionally exposed to wet and humid conditions, outside weather conditions, and risk of static electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may require PPE.
