East-West Center was established in the United States Congress in 1960, the Center functions as a resource for research and debate on important issues of mutual interest, bringing stakeholders together to share opinions, create skills and establish policy alternatives. East-West Center is a non-profit organization that are independent and supported by the government and private agencies. Over almost 60 years as a U.S.-based public diplomacy institution in the Indo-Pacific region with international governance, staff, students and members.
