I worked in the Warranty Operations Department recovering Failed transmission cores. I thoroughly enjoyed the position and the supervision there was always ready to listen to concerns or questions. The contract ended after 18 months and it has been difficult finding employment with that level of challenge and respect for my skills.

Pros and Cons
Friendly office - great Team I worked on - Great cafeteria for diabetics
Ability to only work 18 months on a contract.

This is a hard working company that supports who they want. The people that's supervising or in leadership don't have everyones best interest at heart.

Pros and Cons
You get to take 2 breaks.
You have to be concious of where you want to dedicate your time and energy.

If you make it there a year, they will start finding reasons to get rid of you. It is cheaper to hire someone new than to pay someone experienced. Try to hold out for a year, with all the overtime the checks are amazing. I N e demale lead with a large family that also works at this facility makes the job harder than necessary, Everyone knows her but with such a large turnover of employees, they keep her. She’s the main reason for the large turnover of employees.

Pros and Cons
Pay is good but with all the overtime you won’t be seeing your families.
Management is the worst drawback. More cliquish than high school.

The job is fine, it's the people that will make you quit. Oh and don't get sick or have any doctors appointments during job hours because they do not offer sick time. You have to use your vacation time for doctors visits. And good luck getting help from the union. Won't be much help if you don't wear a skirt. And apparently HR thinks your lying if you have a family death and have to take off from work for a funeral. It happened to me. Julie Klein who works in Human resources thought I lied about my brothers death. According to her I only said that to take off from work. I WILL NEVER WORK FOR EATON AGAIN!

Pros and Cons
Yeah what Pros?
Don't apply

You don’t get paid the big bucks to work 40 hours and look busy. Every year Eaton is able to load you with more work to do and less support to do it with.

Pros and Cons
Good pay and benefits
It’s hard to have fun when there are so many rules

Upper management is so unfair, they under value your hard work and dedication. That's the reason i gave my two week notice. Upper management and their favoritism.

Pros and Cons
Benefits, option to buy a 3rd week of vacation even if it's your 1st year.
Management's mentality is no good.

Overall, the company seemed good to me based stories shared from other product lines around the country. However, I was in one of the smaller revenue product lines, and getting resources for product development beyond a "me too" product was impossible. The hours were long, and hiring after a coworker left would take months just to post the position, longer still to make an offer. Some candidates were lost because jobs were accepted elsewhere while awaiting a decision. Middle management often rotated through faster than their changes could be objectively judged for effectiveness. Coworkers are awesome! The SMKE office was the most welcoming group I have ever worked with. I loved my JOB there. The industry was challenging and in many ways, cutting edge. I had to leave though because the work-life balance was unmanageable for me and my family If you are well-versed in corporate politics, and able to relocate freely, you can advance well and make a very comfortable living.

Pros and Cons
Fun technical challenges, great coworkers
Overly bureaucratic, slow to fill vacancies.
