About Education Coordinator

What does an Education Coordinator do?

As Education Coordinators, we support the growth of academic programming. We coordinate academic tutoring, student workshops, and parent information sessions. Managing and coordinating College Bound educational events is a part of our job. We participate in curriculum development. We serve as an instructor and facilitator for school team workshops. Partnering with the coaching staff to actively engage in the enrollment process is our duty. We involve in the implementation of test preparation programs. Coordinating high school visits is a part of our job.

Core tasks:

  • communicate with students, parents, and appropriate staff
  • ensure that the College Bound program goals are being met
  • collaborate with the program staff
  • ensure the timely reporting of attendance records, academic performance reports, and program assessments
  • develop academic intervention and supplemental emotional support plans
  • cooperate with all educational, coaching, and community outreach staff
  • address the physical and social-emotional development of the students
  • assist the development team with grant proposals, site visits with funders, and other activities
