About Education Sales Consultant

What does an Education Sales Consultant do?

As Education Sales Consultants, we contribute by retaining and growing business. We are responsible for the proactive nurturing of customer relationships. It is our job to maintain and develop a collaborative partnership with the Literacy Accounts Managers. We engage the customers and help them grow the business in both existing accounts and through forging connections. Growing sales in assigned territories is a part of our job. We develop a sales strategy to supports success in marketing and acquisition of a new business. Participating in Book source training is our duty. We follow up on Book source-generated leads.

Core tasks:

  • maintain an active presence in the professional organizations
  • develop and maintain a strong regional network to support ongoing sales efforts
  • attend trade shows, conferences, and other association meetings
  • establish relationships with clients and prospects
  • identify and provide thought leadership
  • work to understand the competitive environment
  • learn and understand aspects of school finance, community engagement, and state legislation
  • develop new business opportunities
