The Electrical Instrumentation and Mechanical Technologist is responsible for work orders, documentation, and quality standards of the Hughes Safety Shower products. Self-starter, organizes responsibilities by priorities and business deadlines. Main responsibilities: Hughes manufactures engineered and configured safety shower products. Individual shall lead the team to accurately document all materials and labor required to fabricate these products. Organized BOM assemblies shall be created using the ERP system, labor estimation methods shall be derived/maintained, and constant evaluation of estimate to actual shall be performed to persistently drive out cost.
Assists sales team by fielding customer questions during quotation stage, creates and review quote drawings.
Documents corrective actions for internal and external quality issues. Develop written policies and procedures for manufacturing sub-assemblies. Continually seek efficiencies without sacrificing product quality.
Assists with identifying potential suppliers and manufacturing partners for mechanical and electrical components and supports operations in cost roll-up, continuously driving for lower costs and greater operational efficiency.
Qualifications: Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical Technology Program
1-5 years of experience
GA drawings, Electrical schematics, general purpose and hazardous alarm, heater, and controls systems.
ERP Software packages w/ understanding of Part Number hierarchies, BOM’s and labor estimations.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Able to process work flow.
Data driven Troubleshooting.
