We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician—Emergency Room to join the Mountainside Team!

What You’ll Do

Electrocardiograph (EKG) Technician—Emergency Room will be responsible for performing diagnostic tests to aid doctors in identifying and treating cardiovascular problems in patients.

The successful candidate will be able to:

• Oversee the use of EKG equipment
• Explain the function and process of EKG exams to patients prior to the test
• Ensure that all EKG equipment is working properly and communicate to appropriate personnel if equipment is not working
• Call in a medical equipment repair specialist when machines malfunction
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned
• Administer stress and Holter tests, which monitor patient heart activity
• Log and review test data
• Note specific images and places on the test results for physicians to review closely
• Perform any and all other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduated from an accredited school or equivalent that has led to certification in Electrocardiography and Electroencephalography
• At least 6 months as an EKG or EEG Technician with demonstrated competencies in EKG and EEG
• Certification in EKG, EEG, and BLS
