About Electronics Technician

What does an Electronics Technician do?

As Electronics Technicians, we are tasked with installing, assemble, repairing troubleshooting, and maintaining electronic components and systems as required. We also ensure that all power and manual tools are operated in accordance with health and safety regulations while providing adequate training and supervision for new technicians and apprentices. We carry out scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing equipment and interpret training manuals, and instructions to properly maintain and repair the equipment.

Core tasks:

  • follow verbal, written as well as telephonic instructions
  • attend regular training workshops and meetings
  • purchase replacement parts for electronic systems
