In 2010, Clay Clark in partnership with Jonathan Barnett founded The Elephant in the Room as a men’s grooming lounge. His aim was to establish a turn-key, low-cost, residual-income producing franchise. Over the years the 3 co-founders of Elephant In The Room Men’s Grooming Lounge featured in both the local and national media in publications such as Bloomberg, Fast Company, Success Magazine, Fox Business, Entrepreneur, Forbes, etc. They manage outlets in Broken Arrow, Downtown Tulsa, South Tulsa, and Oklahoma City (May Ave, Western Ave). They also offer a $1 haircut for the first visit. This $1 goes to support Compassion.com, a nonprofit charitable cause. They do so in order to support life-changing opportunities such as medical care, an opportunity to attend or stay in school, which often saves lives, nourishing food & more. They are also Oklahoma’s highest and most reviewed men’s salon. To facilitate customers, they also offer online scheduling and booking.
