•Job Summary Responsible for screening, interviewing, testing, and referring applicants for all positions at McDonough District Hospital. Analyzes the information provided on a prospective employee’s application form to determine the suitability of the applicant for employment. In cases where the applicant is judged unqualified, tactfully turns the applicant away. Performs reference investigation, i.e., prior employment references, transcripts, etc., to gain adequate information on which to base a selection decision. Conducts interviews, informing applicants of job duties, working conditions, pay, benefits, and promotional opportunities. Keeps informed about equal employment opportunity ( EEO ) and laws such as the Americans with Disabilities Act. Maintains excellent relations with hiring managers, candidates, and the community at-large. Coordinates MDH’s worker’s compensation program. Provides assistance in all areas of the Human Resources Department, including exit interviews, employee benefit record keeping systems, etc. •Job Specifications EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE : Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related field or three years’ experience in Human Resources preferred. JOB KNOWLEDGE : General knowledge of Human Resources Management and office management principles. Satisfactory mathematical, computer, and clerical skills . Intermediate knowledge of Microsolft Office Suite of applications and the use of e-mail. Must be Internet savvy and experience in mining online databases. ABILITIES , INTERESTS AND TEMPERAMENTS 1.
