Great company, bad rules and constant worrying about what to say and do. A lot of people are going to quite this job and they are going to have a hard time filling this position until they change their company rules. Probably high turnover in this position, which is always not good longterm. When answering the phone their are too many things a rep has to check off.If one thing is missed on a call, it is written up and the rep has to constantly check to make sure he doesn't say or do the wrong thing. One rediculious policy is that if you are screening the caller and the caller says they live in Los Angeles and they forget to say California, you are written up for not verifying the person. This should not be a write up but just acknowledged that they need to check the state the next time.

I worked for Empower too. I agree with what you’re saying. I also found it stressful due to the number of unhappy people calling.
