It was founded in 1910 by the Michaelis family with the formation of Stockyards National Bank. The headquarter is located in Wichita, Kansas, United States. The Chairman of the bank is Mike Michaelis. Emprise Bank System is over 40 office branches in 20 community states are in Wichita, Andover, Augusta, Chanute, Clearwater, Council Grove, Derby, El Dorado, Eureka, Goddard, Hays, Haysville, Hillsboro, Humboldt, Iola, Lawrence, McPherson, Moran, Park City, Potwin and Valley Center. In 2006 Emprise Bank acquired prairie State Bank, adding 11 branches to the Emprise banking network.
