CommScope is adding an Engineering Graduate Rotation Program participant to our team. The participant's first rotation will be focused on Systems Engineering located in Lowell, MA, USA.

Throughout the 2-year program, you will move through three 8-month rotations where you will be tasked with challenging and business-critical projects. Dedicated mentors and professional development workshops with our diverse network of talent and senior leaders will provide you with a solid foundation for a successful career.

During the final rotational assignment, participants will receive assistance applying for open positions at CommScope which meet their career goals.

Required Qualifications for Consideration
  • 0-2 years of experience with a degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering (preferably Electrical Engineering or Computer Science)
  • Must be geographically mobile [locations vary based on businesses, and participant may be required to relocate for rotations (relocation assistance provided)]
You Will Excite Us If You Possess Two or More of the Following
  • A graduate degree (MS or Ph.D.) in Engineering field - preferably Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
  • Courses, projects or research in Wireless Communications, Network protocols, Signal Processing, Digital Design, FPGA programing
  • Courses, Projects or research in technologies such as ML/AI, Cloud Computing
  • Simulations skills with tools such as Matlab, Python
  • Programing skills in C/C++/Java
  • Experience in performing tests in HW labs and familiarity with lab equipment
  • Previous Internship or Co-Op experience
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to use analytical skills to solve complex problems
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to prioritize, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

Tasks

  • Formulate mathematical models or other methods of computer analysis to develop, evaluate, or modify design, according to customer engineering requirements.
  • Plan or conduct experimental, environmental, operational, or stress tests on models or prototypes of aircraft or aerospace systems or equipment.
  • Formulate conceptual design of aeronautical or aerospace products or systems to meet customer requirements or conform to environmental regulations.
  • Plan or coordinate investigation and resolution of customers' reports of technical problems with aircraft or aerospace vehicles.
  • Write technical reports or other documentation, such as handbooks or bulletins, for use by engineering staff, management, or customers.
  • Direct or coordinate activities of engineering or technical personnel involved in designing, fabricating, modifying, or testing of aircraft or aerospace products.
  • Evaluate product data or design from inspections or reports for conformance to engineering principles, customer requirements, environmental regulations, or quality standards.
  • Develop design criteria for aeronautical or aerospace products or systems, including testing methods, production costs, quality standards, environmental standards, or completion dates.
  • Analyze project requests, proposals, or engineering data to determine feasibility, productibility, cost, or production time of aerospace or aeronautical products.
  • Maintain records of performance reports for future reference.
  • Diagnose performance problems by reviewing reports or documentation from customers or field engineers or by inspecting malfunctioning or damaged products.
  • Direct aerospace research and development programs.
  • Research new materials to determine quality or conformance to environmental standards.
  • Evaluate and approve selection of vendors by studying past performance or new advertisements.
  • Review aerospace engineering designs to determine how to reduce negative environmental impacts.
  • Design new or modify existing aerospace systems to reduce polluting emissions, such as nitrogen oxide, carbon monoxide, or smoke emissions.
  • Design or engineer filtration systems that reduce harmful emissions.
  • Evaluate biofuel performance specifications to determine feasibility for aerospace applications.
