    The Enterprise Cyber Security Engineer III will help with security projects, the analysis of security logs, working on projects that require input from the security team as well as assist with integration of our current security tools so that we can better secure and align with business mission. This role will include data collection, analysis, and follow-up using effective technical skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills. This individual will work closely with the Enterprise Cyber Security Engineers to develop, deploy, and administer Network Access Control, as well as being a primary Engineer for mergers & acquisitions.

    Responsibilities

  • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical, and technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
  • Serves as a Tier-III support for the team, engaging other team resources as necessary and as defined by support processes.
  • Functions as a coordination point for issues related to infrastructure security systems between all HIT teams. Act as an escalation point for issues with assigned infrastructure systems that cannot be resolved in the Service Desk or by the Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineer I and II.
  • System Support : Maintain support for all infrastructure security systems, making sure logs are being received on the security incident and event monitoring system. Monitor health of all infrastructure security systems to make sure they are running, functional, and generating security events. Assist and mentor the Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineer I and II when needed.
  • System Documentation : Maintains documentation on the infrastructure security systems technical configuration, contacts and functionality. Contributes and maintains common troubleshooting tips in the designated knowledge base. Keeps current vendor and system data owner’s contact information in the designated location. Maintains relevant training materials for the infrastructure security systems. Assist and mentor the Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineer I and II when needed.
  • System Updates : Responsibilities include planning and scheduling system patches, upgrades, and updates. This also includes coordination with team members, Identity and Access Management Analyst/Engineers, other HITS teams, vendors, users, interfaces, and other systems that feed or accept information from the infrastructure security system. This would include all IAM servers. Follows department change request processes.
  • System Security : Protects hospital assets and information by maintaining secure systems. Follows organizational policies and processes surrounding access management, regulatory compliance, systems architecture, disaster recovery, vendor management, and others to support security and integrity of organizational and patient data.
  • System Integrity/Retention : Requires verification of security systems application logs and other monitoring tools to resolve issues that could cause issues on HITS servers or medical devices. Ensure retention periods for Enterprise Cybersecurity team’s data follow hospital and regulatory requirements. Assist and mentor the Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineer I and II when needed.
  • System Backup/Recovery : Verifies that the Infrastructure Security systems are completing a normally scheduled and approved backup methodology. Verifies that systems/data can be restored in the event of a failure or disaster. This will include the completion of disaster recovery plans (DRP) and other documentation related to disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA). Assist and mentor the Enterprise Cybersecurity Engineer I and II when needed.
  • Data Entry : Maintain knowledge of infrastructure security applications and functional areas as it pertains to data and network security.
  • Reporting : Ability to use infrastructure security application functionality to create, schedule, distribute, and print reports as need or on a set routine for the Infrastructure Security Manager.
  • Interfaces : Monitor and support infrastructure security system interfaces in conjunction with dedicated interface staff and other teams. Maintain documentation surrounding the flow of data between systems.
  • Troubleshooting : Intermediate to advance problem solving skills and capabilities to resolve infrastructure security applications, user account, and security server issues under stressful conditions. Uses appropriate methods of escalation to both internal and external resources to the Infrastructure Security Manager when needed.
  • Systems/Application Knowledge : Infrastructure security systems and application knowledge and will be mentored by the Infrastructure Security Manager.
  • Vendor Management : Communicates effectively with infrastructure security system vendors to maintain working relationships and proper systems support. Verifies vendor actions meet the expectations of the hospital.
  • Technical Foundation : Beginners to intermediate technical concepts including, but not limited to, Linux, AD, MFA, firewall, IPS, APT Detection, and networking, hardware, software, interfaces, operating systems, and others as deem necessary by the Infrastructure Security Manager.
  • Systems Analysis and Design : Ability to perform Tier-II to Tier-III level analysis while reviewing security logs. Utilizes technical knowledge to ask relevant questions during systems analysis so that security is injected at the start of any project. Performs other reasonably related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (Any Discipline) or minimum of 7-12 years Information Security experience
  • Expert knowledge of firewalls, IPS, access control, monitoring, design tools, encryption denial of service prevention mechanisms.
  • Complete understanding of the C.I.A model
  • Knowledge in CSF
  • Mobile technologies
  • Encryption and key management technologies
  • Malware hunting, forensic, reverse engineering of malware, and mitigation
  • Advance Data Loss Protection technologies
  • Experience with peripheral component interconnect and other security audit processes, evidence gathering and development/management of remediation plans used in resolution of findings
  • Knowledge of risk management processes, including steps and methods for assessing risk
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business and capability terminology
  • Exceptional collaboration ability; substantial experience as a senior-level negotiator
  • Ability to interact effectively with Leadership when needed
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office software products.
  • Ability to travel for training and business
  • Preferred:

  • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Forensic.
  • CISSP, CEH, CISA, CISM, GCPM, GSNA, GCFA, GAWN, GXPN, GREM, or GSE
  • Extensive knowledge of HITRUST CSF
