About Environmental Inspector

What does an Environmental Inspector do?

As Environmental Inspectors, we conduct pre-construction surveys. We prepare monitoring reports and work with construction crews. It is our duty to maintain compliance with permits and regulations. We assure the installation of erosion and sedimentation control measures. We perform environmental monitoring along with all areas of the project. Following up inspections on identified deficiencies is our duty. We oversee and manage all applicable environmental plans, permits, and regulations. We establish and maintain working relationships with the environmental team. We are responsible for the effective implementation of the Environmental Management Plan.

Core tasks:

  • develop Site-Specific Environmental Management Plans
  • prepare relevant environmental management documentation
  • ensure the identification and resolution of environmental issues
  • prepare and submit inspection reports
  • communicate inspection materials to the Environmental Team
  • support and take part in the health and safety and quality programs
  • conduct erosion and sediment control inspections
  • compose inspection reports
  • provide support in environmental permitting tasks, and task coordination
