About Environmental Permitting Specialist

What does an Environmental Permitting Specialist do?

As Environmental Permitting Specialists, we coordinate with other practitioners to issue construction or exploitation permits after conducting site visits to perform environmental surveys and assessments of project sites. We perform and supervise the stream assessment, wetland delineation, and the preservation of threatened and endangered species. We also conduct regular site visits to delineate federal and state jurisdictional wetlands and waters in accordance with the current federal protocol and regional supplement. We send Environmental Coordinators to perform the identification of plants, characterization of soils while identifying relevant hydrologic indicators that characterize wetlands.

Core tasks:

  • perform and supervise various project delivery activities
  • analyze and estimate the long-term environmental impacts of each investment
