As Environmental Protection Specialists, we serve as an environmental planner performing a full range of real property selection, acquisition, and environmental design and development functions, including the acquisition of sites, buildings, and easements. We plan, implement, and monitor environmental programs and services for example determining needs, evaluating program effectiveness, assuring compliance with regulations. Additionally, we evaluate the regional needs, determine how to best deliver required environmental services in a cost-effective and timely manner in conjunction with best business and professional standards, and employ environmental protection knowledge and analytical skills, to develop scopes of work and budgets, develop and implement assessment and remediation plans in coordination with regional environmental engineers, manage and supervise contractors.
Core tasks:
- control environmental training throughout staff specialists to top management on environmental problems
- constitute as the liaison for environmental organization coordination with federal agencies, review agencies, local and regional officials, civic organizations, and other stakeholders
- set up partnerships with local customers and community organizations to address mutual environmental concerns
- coordinate comprehensive planning process and appropriate evaluation standards
- make sure that the site and building plans are coordinated with the environmental compliance process
