Exciting Opportunities for an Experienced Escrow Officer
Title One Agency, Inc, Ohio Bar's Largest Title Insurance Underwriter is seeking an experienced Escrow Officer and/or Relationship Manager to lead a team at our new and exciting Cleveland Ohio City office across from Great Lakes Brewery. The successful candidate will be highly motivated to grow with the business, while delivering the highest level of professional and service to our clients. If you have a proven track record of successfully coordinating complex resale and refinance escrow transactions from start to finish with minimal supervision, a strong team player and are able to multi-task is you work to solve problems and promote efficiencies between you, your team and your clients, this may be a great opportunity for you.
Job Requirements
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Experience using Resware or Qualia software a plus
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Self-motivated with a burning desire to be the very best in a fast paced environment.
- Must know every aspect of escrow from typing, processing, auditing and closing
- Must be willing to travel to clients for closings
- Prior Title/Escrow Experience strongly preferred

TASKS
- Examine documentation such as mortgages, liens, judgments, easements, plat books, maps, contracts, and agreements to verify factors such as properties' legal descriptions, ownership, or restrictions.
- Examine individual titles to determine if restrictions, such as delinquent taxes, will affect titles and limit property use.
- Prepare reports describing any title encumbrances encountered during searching activities, and outlining actions needed to clear titles.
- Copy or summarize recorded documents, such as mortgages, trust deeds, and contracts, that affect property titles.
SKILLS
- Reading Comprehension — Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
- Active Listening — Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.

- Computers and Electronics — Knowledge of circuit boards, processors, chips, electronic equipment, and computer hardware and software, including applications and programming.
- English Language — Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
