About ESL Instructor

What does an ESL Instructor do?

As ESL instructors, we help English language learners whose first language isn’t English to reach fluency in English as their second language. We come up with a curriculum that helps all the students focus on a specified field of English use like literacy and life skills. We use and give students textbooks that are simple to understand and will help the students take computer lessons. We also assign students homework and exams, assess their progress, and write reports while following the national and regional policies for teaching English as a second language.

Core tasks:

  • maintain student’s attendance and grades
  • assign exams
  • create a supportive student environment
  • inform the student’s guardians how students are performing
