It was nice working the Outbound shift moving over 2 million plus pounds of freight each night some times 3 million. I had a great Lead and our Hi-Lo drivers were fantastic. The only problem with Estes was too many family members working there, Senior leadership could not be trusted and Human resources was a joke. What do I mean HR was a joke, you can discipline a worker for failing to comply with company policy, you were told by the HR manager that you have no authority to do such Discipline. Top Senior leaders were the main issue there at Estes

Estes at one time was a great place to work that valued the employees and promoted hard workers and valued their employees families. Those days are over. Administration is out of touch with their employees. They preach about an open door policy and confidentiality but if you can even get them to answer your call it will not be confidential.

Pros and Cons

Do not go to work for this extremely dangerous and wreckless company, i almost lost my right hand due to a trailer roof rail falling on me and putting me in the hospital for 7 days .they actually made me call in every day i was off even though they knew what there trailer did to me and were i was.I was out of work for almost 2 years and am scarred for life now, after a year long court battle i won and they had to pay for there recklessness. Unless you have a death wish DO NOT WORK THERE ,i was fired over the phone in the hospital on workmans comp.

The last couple years we reps had to take on a new venture that was so out of our experience. Because the owners of Estes invested in this and we had to make it successful
