About Event Marketing Manager

What does an Event Marketing Manager do?

As event marketing managers, we are responsible for planning and managing virtual and/or in-person events on behalf of our organization. The objective of these events may range from increasing brand awareness, through educating clients or internal staff, to community building, and more. We plan and execute campaigns to drive participation and engagement. These can include email campaigns, paid ads, direct mail, etc. We are often responsible for overseeing the logistics side of the event as well, including location and vendor management, contracts and payments, etc. This requires project managerial skills.

  • developing copy for event communication and marketing materials
  • overseeing event marketing budget
  • project-managing groups and vendors involved in event planning and execution process
