We also interpret and analyze medical report results. Entering patient information into an electronic system is a part of our duty. We respond to emergency conditions with patients and families. We also maintain medical safety protocols. Working as Family Nurse Practitioners, we are responsible for directing patients to laboratories and X-ray labs. Some of us also assist in collecting lab samples. Finally, we ensure that medical procedures are in-line with governmental and organizational standards and policies.
