What does a Family Therapist do?

We, family therapists, are in charge of dealing with people facing depression, anxiety, marital issues, and more. Our job includes working with either married couples, children and parents, or other groups. Detecting a problem and recommending effective strategies and techniques to heal them are part of our duties. We make sure families function effectively and improve different family systems as well. Our top priority is maintaining the mental well-being of our clients and discussing the emotional issues they are going through.

Core tasks:

  • evaluating an issue and offering practical solutions to families or couples
  • ensuring a positive and friendly attitude towards our clients to make them feel comfortable
  • understanding the patient's and their needs and offering treatments accordingly
  • prescribing drugs when needed for a patient's mental wellness
