I worked for this company years ago. Back when the pay was $8.50 an hour. It was a nice place to work. Good people and good work environment. I only had a problem when it came to my training hours it took two weeks to train. It was only supposed to be one week at that time. I was in school so I only had a week to miss. I ended up being dropped from my classes but, I was doing the training for the night shift. Then three months later I was laid off.

Pros and Cons
Grave yard shift, leadership was great…
Training was not specified correctly, low pay, overtime was last minute relaid…

After over 22 years of dedication and Service, Federal-Mogul/Tenneco South Bend IN, USA eliminated my position and over 350 other highly skilled employees. The company's decision the move it's operations out of the USA has made a devastating impact on our families and communities. Core values and company slogans of "integrity" obviously are just false claims and don't apply to corporate decisions. It's criminal for a corporation to make such high profits from US markets, yet move their manufacturing operations out of the country.

Pros and Cons
Teaches you valuable lessons of "Big corporations lack integrity and loyality"
subject to corporate policy and possible plant shut-downs
