Ferguson Enterprises was founded in 1953 by Charles Ferguson,Ralph Lenz and Johnny Smither. The Company began with a modest $165,000 capital. The first two locations of Ferguson Enterprises opened in Colmar Manor,Md, a suburb of Washington DC and Birmingham, Ala. Ferguson uplifts the bar for industry standards as the top-leveled wholesale supplier of plumbing supplies. In 1989, Charlie Banks who was Ferguson's first official trainee became the company’s second president and CEO. Ferguson is a company which is committed to the growth of its business and its people. Ferguson has grown from a local distributor to a $18.4 billion dollar company in the past 65 years. The company has more than 1,400 locations and over 27,000 associates nationwide.Ferguson is a supreme US distributor of plumbing supplies, PVF, waterworks and fire and fabrication products. Ferguson is probably one of the very best companies out there to work for hands down. They take very good care of their employees along with all the benefits. They are the largest plumbing wholesaler in North America. You can advance very quickly with in the company as well. Give 100% You will reap the benefits for it. I retired after 23 years with a very good severance package. I also get a lifetime employee discount on all my purchases today.

It is a very well organized corporation. you are not left questioning things on any level
I don’t have any. Typically Mon-Fri schedule.

It’s turned into a social club ladder climb instead of based off of how well you do your job, follow guidelines and proper procedures. Ferguson doesn’t compensate already employed associates. You have to quit and go somewhere else to make what you are worth. HQ credit is chaos. High employee turnover in Texas.

Was hired in as Sales ended up in Customer Service for 75% of my day taking nothing but issue calls. About the time I was to transfer into the complete sales role hiring freeze. Then was laid off with many other workers right before the Holidays. This is not the first time they have laid off workers. I was advised by other workers when I first started working for them that in fact, they had laid people off before. I should have found another job right then, but I didn't. So, beware of this company.

No Pros with this Company.
Never know when they will lay you off. Usually happens close to the end of the year.
