About Field Application Specialist

What does a Field Application Specialist do?

As Field Applications Specialists, we are responsible for providing technical assistance and training in an organization. Our responsibilities include improve computer laboratories, proposing and finalizing equipment purchases, and developing leads to get new clients. We also act as a sales representative and manage product evaluation at the client’s site. Working with both the sales and computer networks team, we support sales personnel and assist them. We guide customers and employees on equipment purchasing, specifications, installation, and usage. A part of our responsibility is also troubleshooting issues and bugs.

Core tasks:

  • recommending both hardware and software tools
  • training users for the correct installation, configuration, and usage
  • finding and troubleshooting issues
  • document site activities
